Quartz plates and windows
Many ultraviolet (UV) curing systems incorporate
quartz plates (quartz windows) (quartz filters) in their equipment. The
plate is mounted between the UV lamp and the substrate. Edges are
ground smooth and polished. Plates can be repeatedly cleaned. We can
produce almost any size and thickness required. Typically, you will save 60% versus the OEM
product.

To insure optimum performance, it is vitally
important to keep your quartz plates clean and free from fingerprints.
Quartz plates naturally solarize with age due to high temperature and
UV level. Over time UV transmission is reduced. Regular cleaning and/or
replacement should be part of any maintenance plan. Not all quartz is
alike. TCS Technologies uses only American sourced materials for
consistent UV output. Quartz originating in China oftentimes is full of
impurities. UV transmission is lower hence your system suffers.
Optically coated quartz
We can also provide flat quartz plates that
incorporate a vacuum deposited metal film. The film reflects infrared
back to the lamp and transmits ultraviolet. This is known as a hot
mirror.
Curved profiles are also available with a special
IR transmitting, ultraviolet reflecting coating known as a cold
mirror. Unfortunately any optically coated material has limited
cleaning ability due to the nature of the vacuum coating.
Water jackets
TCS can fabricate
any size cooling tube from the highest quality quartz available. We can
also economically clean and restore existing cooling tubes.
